Starting off the year with a great trio of books is always a perfect way to help fight those winter blues when you are stuck with negative temps and constant snow flurries.
I purposely picked a variety of genres to help keep myself enjoying reading and keep myself on my toes. I typically love Romance books and read those about 95% of the time but I’ve found over the years that there are way more enjoyable books out there than just Romance. One of my goals this year is to not read purely Romance but sprinkle in Thrillers, Historical Fiction, Fantasy and more. This month I selected a Historical (Romance), Contemporary Romance, and Thriller to give me a great variety.
What the Wind Knows by Amy Harmon – Historical Fiction
We turn memories into stories, and if we don’t, we lose them. If the stories are gone, then the people are gone too.
This was a perfect Historical Fiction (Romance) read that will give you the perfect journey through Ireland 1921 when Anne Gallagher finds herself transported back in time from 2002 on a journey to discover where she came from and heal her broken heart.

In Your Dreams by Sarah Adams – Contemporary Romance
Because where Madison is concerned, I think I’d be willing to set the whole world on fire if it made her smile. And she has no idea.

This is a secretly pinning for my best friend’s sister romance. James and Madison find themselves working together in a tension filled environment. Madison is looking to prove herself as more than the screw up sister while James is looking to prove his love for Madison. There are some spicy moments between these two but also lots of heart melting grand gestures.
Anatomy of an Alibi by Ashley Elston – Thriller
If I had any idea Ben was going to wind up dead that night, I never would have involved my friends. – Aubrey Price
This Thriller will take you on twists and turns filled with secrets and connections that will leave you questioning everyone! The perfect journey of figuring out who killed the town’s successful lawyer Ben Bayliss and how are Camille Bayliss (his wife) and Aubrey Price (a bartender) connected. One thing to remember is that with a perfect alibi, you also need someone believable to help back your “story”.

Which one peaks your interest?
Do you enjoy reading a variety of genres? Or do you stick to one consistent genre?
